Annual Report

November 2004-October 2005

 

 

The Division was represented at the regular meetings of the Executive Board.

 

 

November 2004- The Division met at the WVLA annual conference.

 

 

March 2005 - We were well represented on Library Legislative Day in Charleston on March 14^th and 15^th.  Several Division members visited with congressional district senators and delegates to urge support of funding for libraries.

 

 

April 2005 - The Academic Division met as a group at Spring Fling.

The Division sponsored several sessions at Spring Fling, including:

 

        Video for the New American Immigrants

        Cataloging Sci/Tech Technical Papers

        Creative Cataloging

        Medical Information on the Web

 

 

October 2005 - The Division, along with the Marshall University Libraries, the West Virginia University Libraries, and the WVLA Academic Library Directors' Roundtable, helped to plan the marketing preconference: "Developing your Academic Library Marketing Plan."

 

 

The Academic Division will be sponsoring many programs at the WVLA annual conference.
