Since 1990, the West Virginia Library Association has worked to increase the number of librarians in the State of West Virginia by awarding scholarships to WVLA members pursuing a masters' degree from an ALA-accredited institution. Money in the scholarship fund is donated by members of WVLA and others. Please consider donating to the fund when renewing your WVLA membership.

Applications for scholarships will be considered once a year with awards made at the Annual Conference. WVLA members interested in applying for a scholarship should complete the application form and supply the supporting documents by the deadline shown below. The application should be word processed and sent to Pamela Ford, Chair of the Continuing Education and Scholarship Committee at Marshall University Libraries, 1 John Marshall Drive, Huntington, WV, 25755.
