Continuing Education and Scholarship Committee
The eight members of the Continuing Education and Scholarship Committee are appointed by the President with the approval of the Executive Board. Members are appointed to the committee for two-year staggered terms with four terms expiring each year.

According to the West Virginia Library Association Handbook of Organization (Revised 2005), the Continuing Education Scholarship Committee is charged with promoting ongoing continuing education programs for all levels of staff within West Virginia libraries; formulating a scholarship program for West Virginia library personnel working on professional library degrees; and selecting recipients for scholarship awards (subject to the approval of the Executive Board).
The committee has facilitated the award of scholarships since the fund was established in 1990. In addition to mediating the scholarship application and award process, the committee sponsors continuing education opportunities and welcomes suggestions for future programs.
